Probably more blue than green? Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Thu, 23 Sep 2004 21:22:54 In Reply to: Radiator has green fluid?, Brian_in_MA, Thu, 23 Sep 2004 12:38:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The G48 coolant that Saab used up until 01 is blue.
Some dealers might not use the Saab coolant but instead buy their supply from local vendors. In those cases it might very well be green.
But if you would to walk in to a Saab dealer and buy the coolant jug that have the Saab label printed on, it is blue.
In 2002 Saab went with a long life orange coolant, Dexcool.
As far as my own opinion, I feel that the Blue G48 coolant is superior to the green standard coolant in both the Saabs and Volvos.
I see very little of corrosion in both brands nowadays.
