It's called adaptive memory - the T7 adjusts to your driving habits so if you're slow off the line, it won't develop the turbo pressure etc. as quickly as in a car taken "more to its limits". Don't ask me why it's done this way. But I was told by my German mechanic that this is the way T7 works (the motor management adjusts to your driving habits).
So if you feel your car is kind of sluggish, take it to a long, relatively steep road uphill and push hard ... or drive it for at least 60 miles on the autobahn (what's that? :) ) with lots of heavy accelaration for passing or in high speeds (I gather almost impossible in the U.S. / Canada w/o being "removed" from the road by cops).
Anyway, that's how I believe it works in Saab ...
