Assuming a perfect car, CPO is a steal...... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: CPO vs private party: Typical price difference?, Larry, Sat, 2 Oct 2004 09:34:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If a used Saab truly needs nothing, no tires, brakes or other wear and tear items, than the price of the CPO warranty paid to Saab is a steal as warranty prices go, only about $1,200, about half the going rate for an equivalent firts tier warranty like a GMPP.
It's when things are less than perfect that a CPO gives you a measure of protection that's invaluable.
You can find a nice car from a private party, you can sell your own car instead of trading it in, you can sell your own house, you can make your own clothes, grow your own food, you can DIY for anything and do a good job, but we dealers sure make it convienent, and lots of times at a very competitive price and the warranty all by itself is a steal.
