Front rotors & pads were dead when I bought my Aero, at 27K. Dealer replaced them as part of the deal.
Installed EBC pads front at 37K, factory pads rear at 50K. Now approaching 70K, with moderate wear on both rims & rotors. Expect to need new pads around 90K front, 100K rear. Rotors? Guessing 100K rear and 90K front.
EBCs are "controversial", but the factory front pads chew up rotors fast. I wouldn't go back, as my experience with the EBCs is good, overall.
For the 13 years I owned it, I replaced pads on my Volvo 242 bi-annually, whether they needed it or not. Rotors were replaced once in well over 200K. Accordingly, I will probably replace Aero pads based on time or wear, whichever comes first, and rotors based on wear.
