Lower the pressure the more the contact. If you having a hardtime getting off the line this sometimes helps. I normally run between 32-36psi cold depending on the driving. As the tires heat up the pressure goes up as well and tends to throw off peoples settings because they usually fill them up cold. The best thing to do is to go out and adjust your tires until you find the best setting for your set up every tire acts slightly differant under differant pressures.
