Sunroof won't close

I've been reading back in the archives about a spring or clip that breaks in the sunroof. My 99 wagon just had a semi-catastrophic failure of the sunroof. It closes in the horizontal plane, but it won't "pop up" and seal.
Before this happened, every time the sunroof closed, it would make a semi loud "snap" sound about 2/3 of the way closed. Now it slides forward and won't seal, won't go into the up position either. The back and forth sliding still works fine.
Going to try to bring it in Monday (of course it broke on Friday night), but wondered if anyone had this problem. hope it's not the 1200 "frame" i read about, as that's probably worth more than the car, given Saab's resale value :-)
Thanks,
pat
