Time now to replace the tires.
Looking at many prior posts, a lot of people here like to get performance tires and then switch to snows. Where I am (Kansas City area) we've been getting snow of course in recent winters, but pretty moderate really, and then the roads get cleared within a few days. I don't think snows are really justified here.
Our current tires, Dunlop SP Sports 9000, were on when we purchased the car. They have been fine, but apparently they are not well rated for winter so maybe we just got lucky last winter.
I'm wondering if people have recommendations for good all weather tires for the 9-5 aero wagon in this sort of driving environment. Size of current tires is 225 45 zr17. Prefer tires that can be readily purchased in local stores, not just mail order, in case quick replacement is needed.
