Just like Adrian, I was at the dealer earlier this week and got a 9-3 base for a loaner. ( 2000 aero 100k mile, cylinder head retorque, none were loose). The 9-3 made me feel like i was a kid again in my first C900. Small compaired to the 9-5, but quick and fun to drive. The one thing i liked the best was the tranny. I like being able to move the shifter versus the grand prix steer wheel shifter on the 9-5. Felt more natural clicking the lever up and down. But all and all a nice car i would buy for the wife, and have fun driving on the weekend, but would never get one for myself. ( except 2004 aero conv!!, maybe)
