The voltage measurement on the 9000 EDU is quite similar. It's a great diagnostic tool if you know way too much about the charging system. It's useful if you understand the relationship between voltage, engine rpm, underhood temperatures, and electrical load. For those folks that don't have a Master's Degree in electrical engineering, it's something to obsess over. Is 14.5 volts too high? Is 12.8 too low? Sometimes it reads 13.4, and my brother-in-law said that 13.2 is better. Yikes! And add in the fact that it's not very accurate, and I recommend that outside a few guidelines, folks should beep right past it and leave it on temperature.
