Crank shaft sprocket? E20 socket Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: drive shaft pulley center bolt, tom, Sat, 30 Oct 2004 12:07:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Is the crank shaft seal leaking?
Regular threaded (lefty loosey, righty tighty)
Torque spec is to hell and back, twice.
250Nm + 45 degree (185 lbf ft + 45 degree)
Without manufacturing a counter holding tool, drill some holes in it and bolt it to the sprocket you're probably not going to be able to loosen that bolt.
I bought the Saab tool that bolts to the sprocket and use the lower control arm as a support for the tool. Still, the bolt comes loose with a scream and a couple of dislocated discs in my back.
