hi,
I have had a 91 900 s and now driving a 96 900s 3dr standard (115 miles) and have had ALL the reported probelms such ac balancing chain and guide and sprokets failure, clutch and cable replacement, suspension arm bushing (both side) heated seats, pixels off my SID, IDLE PULLY TWICE!!! lefted me stranded on the side of the road, once at night in Montreal down town.... And so on. 3000 $ of repai bils later, I Still I love my car since it drives like new (thank God). But I thing this was the worst model Ever for saab, so I saw 9-5 fans telling me so to.

The 95 I saw is a beautiful 1999, with 134000 km, new brakes, new muffler, nec ACC because no screen, new turbo under warranty, well maintained obviously by a well off 55 years old gentleman. He had the same problem with the idle pulley, which has lefted him at -35 c on a winter day ... The pixels are gone from his SID and when I turn the stering while the car is parked and on, it becomes very stiff, like no power stearing almost... (is it normal ??) A part from that, the care runs smooth. He ask 10 000 CAD$ for it (8000 US$)

The questions are :
Should the small turbo be more agressive than what i feel ? If he did not always putted premium gas, should I avoid the car, What is coming to fail, chocks, ball joint ? ACC dual zone ? pumps ? power stering ? AC ? clutch ? Is this year already a more reliable year for saab, or should i wait to buy a newer model?

Thanks and let me assure you guys that you all and this BB are one of the main reason i still stick to Saabs!!!
cheers.
