HVAC wonky again, etc.

Got back just now from several days in Las Vegas (for a professional associaion meeting, no gambling). Observed freeway MPG about 28-29, cruising 80-90, no A/C.
Speedo calibration on 10 miles of flat NV highway was 81.5 calculated and 85 indicated. (7m22s for 10 mi). Does that sound about right on stock tires at 36/35psi?
But, uh oh.
At freeway speeds With ambient temp around 70F, ACC set to 58F both sides, panel vents and "econ" selected mamnually, I get cool air from the driver's vent, hot air from the passenger vent and warm air form the center and rear vents. Changing the ACC setting to 80F on both sides makes no apparent difference in air temperatures.
I wonder if sone of the earlier unnamed dealer A/C repair attempts I b*tched about earlier this year left me with some wonky control flaps or something?
Re-calibrating SID 2-3x did not change the symptoms, only showed my perennial fault 19 for the phantom recirc pump.
