Safety, carrying capacity, and comfort.
Crash tests aside, the 9-5 is one of, if not the most, survivable sedan on the market. These are real-world tests done in Sweden. In a world of Chevy Subdivisions and pickup trucks the size of houses, you should take any advantage you can. Saabs have a long history of real-world safety.
Carrying capacity. Grab a few grocery bag full of stuff (empty boxes, tissue paper, whatever) and try getting stuff in and out of both cars. Don't laugh - my wife and I go car shopping with large bags and a kayak paddle. Yes, you can fit most anything into a car if you try hard enough, but why work hard? Do you really want to maneuver that grocery bag around when it's driving rain?
Comfort. Hands down, the 9-5 wins. Have her drive both. It'll be hard to walk away from the Saab.
And it'll be a lot easier finding your Saab in a parking lot than an Accord. What, they sold 5 billion Accords last year?
