Racing wheels are often made in three peice designs, so that the inside and outside rim sections can be reconfigured to make wheels of different widths from the same components. Most big race teams also have some very low paid gophers or roadies who travel with the4 team for the glory and will do grunt jobs like that for a Big Mac. For a street car, that pattern with all the little tiny bolts and screws is to make you think you have racing wheels, just like that trunk lid spoiler that is ineffective at less than 110 miles an hour, but blocks your rear vision at 50. It's mostly for effect. If you like the look of them, that's great. If you also like cleaning all the brake dust that corrodes the areas near those neat little bolts, so much the better. BBS makes the identical wheel, the RK in a single piece design, same as the RK-2, and they sell for a lot less, but look almost the same. The multi piece design has nothing to do with tire mounting or dismounting.
