We justed installed two Britax Marathon in the rear seat of our MY99 9-5 Wagon for our 9 month old twin boys, in rear facing position.
The seats are in the two outboard positions, although I tried to put them in the outboard and center, so that one of us could still sit with them.
It wasn`t really going to work because of the size of the base footprint.

There is a restriction on the front seat, but I am not tall so it doesn`t affect me. I would say you might lose a couple of inches at most.

You would still be able to get two people into the back seat, with only one installed in an outboard position, but the middle person would have to have tough ribs.

We got into trouble trying to place these two seats in an 89 Acura Legend two-door - no way to get the boys in and out. The sad part - I now have to drive this beater, and my wife gets the wagon until the spring, when we can turn the seats around to face forward :(.

Oh well, at least they will be safer.

By the way, does your wagon have the LATCH positions under the seats? We do not have this in the MY99, and wish we did for the future.

I agree, the Graco system with bases was great, especially for twins. We now have a MacLaren double stroller.

Regards,
