I have a 99 9-5 se v6 with 60k miles. I will be sending it to the dealer for a timing belt soon and was wondering about the software as I read the posts about the DI failures. I bought the car as a cpo with 23k miles about 4 years ago. The last time the car was in the dealer for any extensive work was the 30k tune up. I don't know if the software was ever modified.
