It was a $500+USD option if I remember correctly and had to be ordered as either a right or left rear seat back, beige or gray leather only. Besides the high cost, the other natural disincentive was that the seat could not be moved from vehicle to vehicle (other than to another 9-5, possibly by a mechanic only).
Saab continues to offer a more typical child seat in their accessory catalog. If you are still interrested in the built-in version, send me an e-mail at my address above. I have enough old accessory catalogs around home that one of them must have the correct part number for the integrated child seat. No guarantee of availability though.
