is that the 4 upper bolts that secure the strut assembly to the chassis appear to pass through slotted openings in the strut assembly as opposed to more precisely positioned, close-fitting holes. Also there is some type of little pin on the chassis which registers in a open slot near the bottom of the strut assembly. On one side of my car, that pin is about midway vertically in this groove. On the side of the car that chewed up a relatively new tire, this pin is snug against the bottom of this slot.
Bottom line - the rear struts don't look to be very exactingly positioned without measurements of some sort.
