You'd be too cool....... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: '02 9-3 lease ending - should I lease an 05 9-5 wagon?, peacefrogx, Tue, 14 Dec 2004 12:54:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm suprised more folks don't think *Linear*ly and see the 9-5 SportWagon as the natural 5 door successor to the hatchbacks.
9-5 Linear SportWagons are an oustanding value and if one was so inclined, can even be had without the moonroof and heated seats called the comfort package. The 185hp Linear is plenty powerful for all needs.
If you want more, an Arc gas 220hp and is availible with all the toys: the sport package with my favorite Saab double three spoke 17" wheels, luxury package including Harmon Kardon sound, memory seats, auto dim/home link mirror, rain sensing wipers, park assist, the xenon headlights can be ordered by themselves, as can the vented seats.
Or get it all, including the Aero Academy, in a 250hp Aero. Maybe just for the sport seats all by themselves.
NG9-3 folks will love a 9-5 as it is virtually identical in operation to the old 9-3, but with all the contemporary performance and luxury features, including navigation.
And arguably a 9-5 SportWagon is the best looking Saab. Rear seat passengers have space and room beyond compare and beyond the sedans. Access to the trunk and rear areas is superlative as it's now practical to get at the back by folding the back seats forward from the rear doors, something you can't do very well or easily in a 9-3, and the floor, once you get everything folded up, is flat for camping and accessible without going over a big sill.
All the cool folks drive SportWagons!
