In a moderate to low snowfall state, the choice might be tougher, sinnce road conditions might let you get by with a 7 inch wheel year round, but even then,I would avoid the constant mount/dismount/balance deal and get my winter tires on different rims. In the event that your SAab dealer is out of stock( which is a distinct possibility) you can get a comparable package through either Ronal or the Tire Rack, for about the same amount, perhaps $50 less as well. Most of the premium brand snows will serve you well, but the rim size and tread width are the important things to maintain.
