then yes, Joe D. is correct in his post. Yes, it will be expensive. Where is the car now ? Is it at home or parked somewhere ?
When I got my then new 9-5, I had a third key made. That key hangs in the inside of a file cabinet. I made that third key just to prevent what could have happened. If you bought the car from a Saab dealer, the sales person should have said something about it. My sales person never mentioned it, when I bought the third key and had it re-programmed, the service advisor said "That's a good idea" to have ordered a third key.
Let us know what your dealer (or any Saab dealer) and see what they suggest. They can probably get you a mechanical key only to open the doors but you can't start the car with it.
