I have purchased the above car for my wife. It is time to get rid of the 2000 Volvo S80 (dealer only fix - due to software nightmare). I have a 1998 Saab 900SE turbo for myself. I want to service the transmission and the manual states Saab mineral based ATF only. I need a positive confirmation of another branded fluid that I can used to meet those specs. I would like to know if there is a brand of fluid and specs I should look to be the factory fluid equiv. My NG900 takes Dextron 3.

If Anders would answer this question I would appreciate it.

Eeuroparts carries Saab 3309 fluid for $9.00 a quart. Does anybody know how this price compares to the parts counter at a Saab dealer (nearest is 50 miles away.)

Thanks for your help in advance. I have finally become a 2 Saab family and looking forward to getting the wife's hand-me-down years from now.
