Hirsch has a great reputation and if they modified a LPT engine, it should be ok. I would drive it and as with anything else, if you like it, buy it. It might be quite powerful. Can you get/see the paperwork from Hirsch? You will want to have a mechanic vet the vehicle of you are not able to do a detailed inspection yourself.
Maybe not an Aero as built by Saab, but someone may have done equivalent upgrades. Perhaps Hirsch body parts. Might be some TAX reasons to do such a thing?
Rolling back the odo on this vehicle is not something that can be done very simply at all. And if you order a new panel from Saab, they will electronically set the new panel odo miles/kms to the distance seen on the one panel by the dealer.
The serpentine belt upper idler pulley should probably be replaced at this time if original. As this work is not simple as with the NG900/9-3, the belt should be replaced that that time. And go with the short belt configuration and save yourself the cost of the lower pulley, which is also difficult/costly to replace.
The shocks/dampers might be tired if orginal. You might find that peformance shocks and springs have been installed. So look and ask.
