It could also be the splined joint between right drive shaft and intermediate shaft has gone dry, starting to create rust dust.
I have not had to replace that intermediate bearing yet on a Saab, but I have seen many cases where the inner C/V joint has gone dry, wearing out, creating that same dirt that you describe.
Try to remove just the right drive shaft first and look into the splines. If it is bone dry and rusty that's where your problem is. Put some strong grease in there and put it back together.
If it looks like the splines are worn too much you might want to consider replacing that C/V joint.
