and I have a few questions. It's got 109k miles. My current car is a 89 9000t, and these new ones are a bit different ;) Anyway, the biggest question (which gets asked here ad infinitum) is about oil. I see from the service records that the oil was changed according to the saab intervals in the service book, and each little card was torn off in the book. The book doesn't give much info, so I really don't know what the dealer was putting in. The previuos owner just had the oil changed at a pep boys and said it was regular oil. What should I go with? I use castrol gtx in my 9k. Should I use that or Kendall (which I've always been happy with), or just switch to full syn (mobil1 0w-40,30). I've also read about head bolt retorque and the pcv mod, and will be looking into those this weekend. But it's the oil I'm worried about, I keep hearing about sludge. Also, I was looking at the service records and the plugs were recently replaced with champions (at a saab indy shop north of Ithaca NY). Should you only be using ngk's ? Sorry for lengthy post.
