So are you saying that the car is dead as a door nail at all times now?
Or is it only that it refuses to start when being driven for awhile and shut off for some minutes?
Have them measure the resistance on the CKP sensor (Crank shaft Position sensor) when piping hot.
The resistance over pin 1 and 2 on a cold sensor should be 860 Ohm +- 90 Ohm.
If they see a reading of several kilo Ohm or even an open circuit, the sensor is bad.
BUT!!!! It is crucial that they measure the sensor when REALLY hot, otherwise when cold, the resistance is back at normal values again.
If the car is completly dead at all times it could be something else too, but at those times it is really easy to find the problem. Only intermittent problems are a bear to find.
By the way, a failing CKP sensor hardly ever leaves a fault code even though it is a fault codes just for that.
