reading this, I ran out to check the condition of my filler funnel under cap - sure enough, 5 months after doing the mod, I see a creamy frozen skin around the funnel, (10 deg. F. outside) with a few little frozen bits on the stick itself. I assume it's moisture being emulsified with oil as someone mentioned or something sim., then freezing.
Always nice to be in between a rock and a hard place. Not do the mod and increase chance of overpressurizing crankcase or do it and risk ....................whatever.
I thought I was being such a good boy, religiously doing the mod to my and my sister's car.
I wonder, does anyone know what long term negatives from having the mod in place might be, besides a pos. increase in oil consumption?
