Most alternators last the life of the vehicle. Coolant pump was discussed today. It will take about 1.5 hours longer to R&R. The belt and pully are also more work, as you need to support the oil pan and remove the engine mounts.
Oil and filters about the same. Black DI does not last as long as the red ones, so budget $300 for one from eeuroparts.
Shocks front and back are a totally different situation. Camber can be adjusted front and back, and the front shocks when replaced will throw the camber off and an alignment is a must do. But the replacement of the strut is otherwise easier than the 9-3. And the ball joint can easily be replaced.
You need to have the head bolts re-torqued unless the dealer can show that this was done once before.
Electronics, not really any different.
Front brakes the same as the 9-3, same pads and caliper, maybe rotor too. The back brakes are ?same style as the front?, so more reliable. But still stuck with the old p-brake design. But the rears were changed during 1999 production starting with chassis Ch. X3025752--. But you can see at a glance thru the wheel.
The alloy wheels and rotors seem to weld to the hubs more than the 9-3s. So some preventative maintenance there will help.
