If your car battery is more than 3 years old I would start with replacing that one and clean out the inside of battery posts carefully.
Car computers needs what's populary called "life sustaining voltage". That's a minimum amount of voltage to keep memory alive in the computer.
If the car battery start to develop glitches or small shorts inside it can mess with those computers in a variety of strange ways.
Volvo from 99 and up is a good example and many of these strange problems are cured by removing battery clamps and touch them together for about 10 min to drain the computers of wrongly learned behaviour (kind reboot the car). You don't erase hard written data from factory by doing this.
CAUTION! Don't try to connect the battery cables with battery hooked up. O'boy than you will have some problems on your hands with possible burned computers.
