All Aero's have the 4-cylinder engine, the free timing belt applies only to the V6 engine.
The 60K service will probably cost about $900 to $1000 if done at a Dealer. Parts for this service interval can be purchased from Site Sponsors (http://www.thesaabsite.com packages them together in a kit) for $150 or so. Most of the Dealer's cost is labor, the work is easy but time consuming. Plan on a full Saturday if doing it yourself.
In addition to the parts in the 60K kit, I recommend replacing the top idler pulley on the serpentine belt. This is a ~$45 part, easy to change since you will be replacing the belt as part of the 60K service, and the original pulley may not last till the 120K service. This pulley has a small diameter and spins at 3-4 times engine speed - hence its need for replacement.
I would also purchase the "short belt" when replacing the serpentine belt. This will eliminate use of the center idler pulley, an extremely difficult part to replace if it ever fails. Saab Dealers have been instructed to only sell the new short belts, Auto Parts stores will probably list only the "long belts" in their catalogs.
