Hi Hiroshi,
I don't have a wagon, but I have a 2000 sedan w/170 hp & 5 speed and I think it's got sufficient power. Like DW said, don't expect to win any drag races, but if you need to pass big rigs or accelerate onto freeways, the 2.3t has enough low end torque to get the big car going. Acceleration in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, can be quite a kick.
