Very Easy to Replace..... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Thu, 27 Jan 2005 04:03:59 In Reply to: Easy to replace?, SKD, Wed, 26 Jan 2005 11:18:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Driver's side is slightly easier only because no Turbo Inlet hose behind the headlamp fixture blocking your view.
1) Black circular cover on rear of headlamp fixture comes off with a 1/4 turn.
2) Un-clip harness from lamp base.
3) Un-snap wire bail clamping lamp in fixture.
4) Insert new lamp. DO NOT TOUCH GLASS OF LAMP! Grasp by base and pins only.
5) Snap wire bail shut, grease lamp pins with dielectric grease (buy a foil-pouch packet with your new lamp), push connector onto pins.
6) Replace black circular cover on rear of headlamp housing.
Total process takes 2 minutes. Either your friend is joking with you because the job is so somple, or they did something really bizzare to replace the lamp.
