Burning smell

Hi all,
Need your expertise. 2001 95 Aero. 70K miles. 60 mile service was done. I dont know if the belt was replaced as I purchased the car used with 66K on it.
For the past few weeks, (since the cold weather stared) I have noticed a burning smell coming from under the hood.
Smells like rubber or electrical
Cannot smell in the car while driving
Seems to be coming from between the engine and firewall
Stronger scent on the passenger side
Long or short drive - smell is the same
No smoke
I looked around under the hood
Belt looks OK. Not glazed. Not ripped. I do see what looks to be black (rubber???) dust on the frame next to the alternator though
Cannot see any leaks or things melting
I brought the car to a dealer for the 70K service. When I brought the car in I asked them to fix the smell. I was told it was a leaking oil pressure sending switch and a leaking oil pan. Both were dripping onto the exhaust. I had both repaired. $500 later...smell is still there. Repair was 2 weeks ago. Maybe the oil has not fully burned off the pipes? Maybe they did not fix the leaks? Maybe this was not the problem?
I will bring it back to the dealer. Before I do that, does anyone have any idea what this can be? I am sorry to ask this question since it may have 100 different legit answers....just looking for ideas and your input.
Thank you.
