Vacuum Cannister

Hey guys! I need help with vacuum problem on my '94 turbo convertible. When the engine is under load, like during hard acceleration, the vents do wierd things (open then close). Most of the time everythings fine. I've followed the check out procedure on Townsend's web site and it sounds like a problem with the vacuum cannister. It's in the trunk on my convertible. But the cannister and check valve check out fine! However, I've only got ONE line running off the cannister from the unchecked side back to the intake manifold, and this line is tee'd off under the hood and runs under the dash to the vent control gang (I think). The side of the cannister with the check valve built into it is capped off! On my '86 900S the cannister has one line from the checked side of the cannister going to the manifold and another line off the other side going under the dash and to the servo that controls the fresh air flap. Is there supposed to be a second line or not? I hope the previous owner didn't do some "creative vacuum line routing". Any ideas??
