Hi,

It's difficult to figure out what your mechanic has done. There is no hose between the heater valve and heater core, they bolt directly together. Do you know where the hose they replaced is located? Why did they replace it?

Provided the system has been correctly bled, and you have a Saab thermostat in there, the only other possibilty I can think of is that the heater valve rod, which connects the valve to the heat control knob, was disconnected. This would result in you not being able to adjust the heat.

When you turn the hot/cold knob, is there as much resistance to turning as there was before the work was done?
