Try putting a rubber donut...shock mount rubber or I used a rear rubber exhaust hanger on top of the mount, under the hold down bracket. I did that and this mount has lasted for years. Only a v. slight increase in vibration.
Will even help w/ a broken mount, but if you're doing the work anyway, put a new mount in.
