The mechanic took the car to the car wash and cleaned the engine compartment after the last turbo install so there was little, if any oil remaining there to burn off when I got the car back. I was pushing out blue tinged exhaust after about 15 minutes of driving.
The turbo dial moves through the white just to the beginning of the orange and will move no further.
And as a point of information, I didn't consider it suckering when I asked the mechanic to adjust the turbo when that was all one could hear when driving - it was actually painful to drive the car - and he agreed, saying he wouldn't want to have to drive it that way. It was the turbo rebuild guys who said it would have to be replaced . . . .
The mechanic is getting a "second opinion" before doing anything else to the car at this point.
