Confused! (about proper AIC valve cleaning materials)

Numerous posts have talked about cleaning gunk out of AIC valves - some recommend carb cleaners - others warn of carb cleaner solvent damage to the AIC valve body (= plastic) and recommend "dino" materials.
All carb cleaners at NAPA are some nasty mixture of organic solvents (ie: xylene, methyl ethyl ketone, acetone, etc, etc ........)
What "dino" materials are specifically being recommended? Do they have the cleaning ability of those organic solvents.
I hope somebody can set me right!
Thanks for your time!
Season's Greetings to all!
