Ok, last one...a few months ago, my interior fan (you know, for heat and AC) started making a faint, faint rapid tapping sound. Not a big deal. Last week, it started making a very loud rubbing sound. If I turned off the fan and started again, it would disappear, then reappear a few minutes later. Still, not a big deal because it made no sounds except for that faint, faint rapid tapping sound for a week. However, this morning, upon starting the car, the fan made this hugely annoying and loud rubbing sound. I thought I'd wait it out, but after a minute, I figured I could tough it out for my commute. However, once I put it in gear, it immediately disappeared, and didn't come back during the trip. What's the deal? :-)

Oh, all of these problems are on an '8516T, 170k, manual.
