Sunday HELP!!! Injector bad- need advice....

So there I was last weekend- replacing my rail and seals (leak); Broke an injector- the local help had one (thanks Kevin in Tampa), but used and the wrong #, but it worked (serious performance loss) for getting around.
So i get another used on Sat (correct #)- looks great, but it doesn't work- crack the tip on the loaner to boot (now useless). So I'm stuck on 3-cyl!
Advice needed: options I've thought of;
- Buy new set complete (very tempting- will probably do)- future- need car to run soonest!
- Try to pry off cap to bad injector and put back onto good injector (w/ cracked cap)... This seems impossible, looks like i need some special tool!
I'm going to let the girl cool down a bit and pull the rail+ and re-inspect the foul injector. I'll chk back soonest!
How did I know it was bad- did the "pull cable/leed" test"- no change when I pulled #2, the rest wanted to stall. Figure the wiring is tight- the last one worked OK (minus it being the wrong #).
THANKS! I'll chk back soonest!!!! Steve
