Hi,
In part of your description of the problem, it seems that your Anti-Lock indicator is mostly only illuminating at start up and for some period of time after, but that eventually it goes out.
This would seem to be pressure related in some way. The Anti-Lock system can only function when there is sufficient pressure in the brake system - a couple thousand PSI, I think. Perhaps your system is taking a long time to reach that pressure, and when the car is off, it depressurizes and the process starts all over again. I can see a "mini" symptom of this in my car if it stands for several days - after start-up, it takes 20-30 seconds for the anti-lock light to go off because over a period of several days the brake system has depressurized and must "pump back up".
There is a little round "bomb" looking thing by the brake master cylinder - I believe this is the dohickey that creates/maintains pressure in the brake system. Perhaps check it from that angle vs. an electronic issue.
Just a thought.
Gavin
