Follow return line from your fuel rail to fire wall- looking for leaks.
Gas cap is cheap fix for most- the black plastic coupling around the cap is suspect- is it cracked?.
Pull rug down from left side of trunk- inspect tip-over valve for the obvious; look at the filling neck too; inspect that coupling from behind.
Remove the two screws on the wood floor panel (trunk); slide back and out; you'll see two rubber /plastic caps- pry these off with a screw driver and inspect the pump and sending unit assy for obvious leaks/wetsness. No need to remove the elemnets- you should see wetness/dirt immediatley.
All else fails- trace the fuel lines from tank to firewall (pain in the ass- rug moving, body bending!)
Double check the nuts on the fuel filter.
Good luck- felt your pain before; this is a winable battle
