Sparky lost his bite--could it be my ignition coil?

Have 1984 900 Turbo which died on me last night while driving on the interstate. The starter would turn the engine, but I could not get it to start. I cannot get a spark at my plugs or one from my coil (tested against engine block and with timing light-did get a single flash coming out of coil, but nothing subsequent). Checked coil with ohmmeter to find primary resistance at ~0.7 Ohm (within Hall-transmitter type specs) and secondary resistance at ~7.4 kOhm (below specs, though new coil tested at store registered nearly the same).
Tested voltage going into my coil while cranking engine and found it to be ~9.4 volts, steady. Is that too low of a voltage for my coil to step up, or is my coil bad, or do I need to check my ecu or else? Please help b/c needing to travel from TN to SC asap.
