Power seat and cooling sys. thermal switch questions...

Howdy,
New (to me) '91 900T conv. First I was hoping someone could explain what the second thermal switch is in my car. I can't seem to locate it in the Bentley manual, but need to look more to be thorough. Not the one threaded in to the radiator, but a second one threaded in to a pipe in the middle of the radiator upper hose. It doesn't seem to operate, meaning it is alwys closed. Also my fan is on all the time, but is not affected by this switch as far as I can tell I plan to troubleshoot that further this morning. Anyway, I want to replace it but not sure what it's called.
Second, the passenger seat electric tilt is not working. It seems that the cables whcih go from the motor to the tilt mechanism have cracked housings, therefore the cable ends are slipping out of their sockets. Is this common? Best way to repair? Replace the whole assembly? Is it difficult? I tried sort of mending the housings with another piece of tubing but only had very limited success.
Finally blinking SRS bulb. Best way to disable it and be sure the thing is disarmed? Do I really need to be concerned about it going off if I remove the steering wheel?
Thanks so much for any advice. Had a couple of mid '80's 900's also a number of years ago, nice to be back in the saddle.
