I have an 87 900T, and here is the way you can the fans.
Wire across the fan switch located on the left corner of the rad., with the key on, both fans should kick on.
With the engine not running, turn the key on and push the A/C comp. button on the dash, the fan on the left should come on and stay on as long as the A/C switch is on.
If the car needs to be cooled, both fans should be running. And if both fans are running when you turn the car off, the relay located inside the left fender turns the right fan back on; this relay goes bad a lot and it needs to be rewired, takes about 5 min.
I had a problem with my fans and could not fine it until I wired across the switch on the rad., this caused both fans to run anytime the key was on. The bearings was going out of the right fan but it never got hot enough for me to find it until it ran a lot.
Hope this helps
Michael
