Did you check the return springs? My brake spring snapped and i had the same problem. For the clutch, check the spring and also the hole for the pin that fastens the pedal to the master cylinder push rod. The hole gets elongated and you can either replace the pedal or drill it out and use a bigger pin. there are lots of previous posts on the clutch problem
