Sticking e brake on 87 900t (I know - common problem)

It was 0 F this morning and my right front brake did not want to release - managed to free it by reaching behind the wheel. I thought there was a fix for this but just did a search of the postings and don't seem to see one. I usually get the "thunk" when starting out in reverse but this morning was more serious. Is there something to lubricate? Or replace with new parts?
TIA
