A number of you folks have helped me out with the '88 Turbo(auto)I got last month, and of course, I appreciate it. Now I've finally got the one I've been dreaming about- a 1988 SPG! Black no less(kinda rare in that color I guess! 188K. The body is absolutely beautiful, it runs great, and everything works!! Even the famous passive seatbelts! I'll be selling the automatic, of course. Here are some of my questions/concerns
1) previous owner painted the front and rear bumpers black, (but not the rest of the plastic)so they will need to be repainted, however, the bumpers on the Turbo are actually in slightly better shape. In other words, they are about flawless, except the inevitable paint peeling, so they would have to be painted also, but at least they are the original color(long, run on sentence). Would you swap them?
2) the dash in the SPG is cracked. The dash in the Turbo is perfect. However, is it possible that the dash in the SPG is actually dark gray and not black? Or am I color blind? If they are both black, is it worth swapping or should I just buy a cover for the SPG dash?
3) the Turbo has a full set of perfect mudflaps. Do they even fit SPG's? Would anyone even bother?
4) the sunroof bubble is missing. Were they all bluish color (as they both are on my Turbo and '87 900s) or did SAAB ever offer a charcoal color?
5) The Turbo has the rear window shade. Anyone putting these on SPG's?

Some other notes- I have very little money invested in the Turbo (well not a LOT of money). It runs good, looks good (just needs to be rubbed out- any advice?), even has a new head. 177K. In other words, I think I can make all these swaps and changes and still not lose a dime on it. Your suggestions please.
