First thing to do is to get a Bentley manual (NOT a Haynes). It will tell you how to correctly adjust your ebrake. Your ebrakes work on the normal brake pads in either case, and if your pads are worn it will take a lot of cable to make them work. Best to look at the manual first. Or try the FAQs on brakes. Good luck.
