The 2 jumpers should have resulted in fan going on, not blowing fuse.
if fuse blows with just relay jumper in, then short is betw relay plug and fan-switch. make sure switch terminals aren't shorted to ground.
if fuse only blows with both jumpers in, short exists in wiring from fan-switch to motor, orrrrrrrr, motor is drawing too high an amperage (does happen with old motors). not sure what else draws from that fuse ... could be issue too.
ok to drive a bit, keep eye on gage. Verify ac kicks on a fan, use it. Helps to turn off eng if sitting at a light.
